Car
If you are traveling by car, start by getting onto I-495 N from your current location. Continue on I-495 N for approximately 15 miles. Take exit 45A for US-267 W towards Dulles Toll Road. After about 7 miles, take the exit for Reston/Herndon. Merge onto Reston Parkway and continue for about 3 miles. Turn right onto Lake Fairfax Drive, and you will see Lake Fairfax Park on your left. There is a parking fee of $10 for the day, so be prepared to pay this upon arrival.
Public Transportation
To reach Lake Fairfax Park via public transportation, first locate the nearest Metro station. Take the Silver Line towards Wiehle-Reston East. Once you arrive at Wiehle-Reston East station, transfer to the Fairfax Connector bus route 505 towards Reston Town Center. After about 10 minutes, get off at the 'Lake Fairfax Park' stop. The park is a short walk from the bus stop. The bus fare is approximately $2.00, and make sure to check the schedule in advance for the latest timings.
