From downtown Blacksburg, walk to the nearest Smart Way bus stop located at the Blacksburg Transit Center on South Main Street. Take the Smart Way bus heading towards Roanoke. The bus will take approximately 30 minutes to reach Roanoke. Once you arrive at the Roanoke bus station, exit the bus and walk to the nearest bus stop for Roanoke City buses. Board the bus that goes towards 1001 Winchester Ave SW. Get off at the stop closest to the park, which is near the corner of Winchester Ave and 10th St SW. Walk a short distance to Wasena Park.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Blacksburg. Head southwest on South Main Street towards the Huckleberry Trail. Follow the Huckleberry Trail until you reach the intersection with Route 460. Continue on Route 460 towards Roanoke. After about 10 miles, you will enter Roanoke. Once in Roanoke, navigate towards Winchester Ave SW. Wasena Park is located at 1001 Winchester Ave SW. The total biking distance is approximately 12 miles.
