From Richmond, VA, take I-64 E toward Norfolk. Merge onto I-264 E and continue for about 70 miles. Take exit 15 for US-60 E toward Virginia Beach. Follow signs to Fort Story and Cape Henry Lighthouse. The lighthouse is located at 583 Atlantic Ave, Fort Story, VA 23459. Note that there may be a fee for entering Fort Story, so have cash or a credit card ready.

Public Transportation
Take a Greyhound or Megabus from Richmond to Norfolk. Once in Norfolk, transfer to the local HRT bus service. Take the 15 or 20 bus routes toward Virginia Beach. You will need to get off at the intersection of Atlantic Ave and 1st St. From there, it's a short walk to the entrance of Fort Story. Be aware that public transportation may have limited schedules, so plan accordingly. Also, expect to pay a fare for the bus.
