Public Bus
To reach Ivy Creek Foundation from downtown Charlottesville, you can take the Charlottesville Area Transit (CAT) bus. Board the Route 5 bus towards 'Wal-Mart.' The bus stop is located at the Downtown Transit Station. Make sure to check the schedule for the latest departure times. Stay on the bus for about 20-30 minutes, and get off at the stop near the intersection of Earlysville Road and Route 29. From the bus stop, walk north along Earlysville Road for about half a mile until you reach Ivy Creek Foundation at 1780 Earlysville Rd. The entrance will be on your left.
Bicycle
If you're comfortable riding a bicycle, you can rent one from a local shop in downtown Charlottesville. Start by heading north on 5th Street NE, then take a right onto East Market Street. Follow the bike lanes until you reach the intersection with Route 29. Take a left onto Route 29, then continue straight for about a mile. Turn right onto Earlysville Road, and ride for about half a mile to find Ivy Creek Foundation at 1780 Earlysville Rd on your left.
Walking
If you prefer to walk, start in downtown Charlottesville and head north on 5th Street NE. Continue straight until you reach East Market Street and turn right. Walk along East Market Street until you reach the intersection with Route 29. Cross Route 29 carefully and continue straight on Earlysville Road. It’s about a 2-mile walk, so allow approximately 40-50 minutes to reach Ivy Creek Foundation at 1780 Earlysville Rd, which will be on your left.
