Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the downtown area of Charlottesville, head east on Main Street towards 4th Street NE. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with University Avenue. Turn left onto University Avenue. After about a 5-minute walk, you will see Academical Village on your right at 1826 University Ave. The buildings are part of the University of Virginia and are easily recognizable.

    From the downtown transit station, take the ART Route 7 bus heading towards the University. The bus ride will take approximately 10 minutes. Get off at the University Avenue stop. After getting off, walk east along University Avenue for about 0.2 miles, and you will arrive at Academical Village located at 1826 University Ave.

    If you have access to a bicycle, start at the downtown area and head east on Main Street until you reach 4th Street NE. Turn left onto 4th Street and continue until you reach University Avenue. Turn right on University Avenue and cycle for about 0.5 miles. Academical Village will be on your right at 1826 University Ave. There are bike racks available for parking.
