Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the Downtown Mall in Charlottesville, walk east on Main Street until you reach 4th Street NE. Turn left onto 4th Street and continue north until you reach the intersection with East Jefferson Street. Turn right onto East Jefferson Street and walk until you reach the intersection with Route 29. Cross Route 29 at the designated crosswalk and then turn left. Follow the pedestrian path along Route 29 for about 0.5 miles until you reach the entrance to Michie Tavern on your right at 683 Thomas Jefferson Pkwy.

• Public Transport (Bus)

  From the Downtown Mall, walk to the nearest bus stop at the corner of Main Street and 5th Street NE. Take the CAT bus route 7 towards the University of Virginia. Get off at the stop on Thomas Jefferson Parkway. From there, walk approximately 0.3 miles along Thomas Jefferson Parkway in the direction of Michie Tavern, which will be on your left at 683 Thomas Jefferson Pkwy.

• Bicycle

  If you have access to a bicycle, start from the Downtown Mall and head east on Main Street. When you reach 4th Street NE, turn left and then right onto East Jefferson Street. Continue until you reach Route 29. Use the bike lane along Route 29, traveling north for about 1 mile. Michie Tavern will be located on your right at 683 Thomas Jefferson Pkwy.
