Bus
If you are starting from the Chesapeake city center, walk to the nearest bus stop on George Washington Highway. Take the Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) bus route 45 towards Virginia Beach. Stay on the bus for about 30-40 minutes. Disembark at the stop named 'Atlantic Ave & 12th St'. From there, walk south on Atlantic Ave for about 3 blocks until you reach the Atlantic Wildfowl Heritage Museum at 1113 Atlantic Ave.
Bicycle
If you prefer to ride a bike, you can rent one from a nearby bike rental shop in Chesapeake. Start at the Chesapeake City Park and head east on Greenbrier Parkway until you reach the Elizabeth River Trail. Follow the trail south until you reach the waterfront. Continue onto the Virginia Beach boardwalk, which will lead you directly to Atlantic Ave. Keep riding south until you reach 1113 Atlantic Ave, where the museum is located.
Walking
If you are close to the Virginia Beach area, a scenic walk is an excellent option. Start at the Virginia Beach Boardwalk and walk north along the beach. When you reach 12th St, turn left and walk inland towards Atlantic Ave. Continue walking until you reach 1113 Atlantic Ave, where the Atlantic Wildfowl Heritage Museum is located. Enjoy the views of the ocean and the local shops along the way!
