Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, head towards the Yorktown Battlefield Visitor Center located at 1000 Colonial Nat'l Historical Pkwy, Yorktown, VA 23690. From the main entrance of Colonial National Historical Park, follow the signs directing you to the battlefield. After entering the park, continue on Colonial National Historical Parkway for about 5 miles until you see the Visitor Center on your right. Parking is available at the center, and there are no additional fees required for parking.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, the nearest bus stop is located in Yorktown, approximately 2 miles from the Visitor Center. You can take a bus to Yorktown from nearby cities like Williamsburg or Newport News. Once you arrive at the Yorktown bus stop, you will need to walk or use a rideshare service (like Uber or Lyft) to reach the Visitor Center. Follow Main Street north towards the Colonial National Historical Parkway and then turn right; the Visitor Center will be ahead on your left. Note that there may be a fare for the bus depending on your origin.

• Walking

  If you are already within the Colonial National Historical Park and near the battlefield, you can walk to the Visitor Center. Follow the park's designated walking trails or roads leading to the center. Ensure you have a park map, available at various points in the park, to navigate easily. The walk from various historical sites within the park to the Visitor Center can take about 15-30 minutes, depending on your starting point.
