    From Grayson Highlands State Park, start by heading southeast on US-58 E. Continue on US-58 E for approximately 22 miles until you reach the town of Galax. Once in Galax, turn left onto US-221 S. Follow US-221 S for about 10 miles, then take a slight right onto US-52 S. Continue on US-52 S for about 8 miles until you reach the intersection with VA-100 S. Turn left onto VA-100 S and follow it for approximately 10 miles. Look for signs indicating New River Trail State Park, then turn left onto Orphanage Dr. Follow this road until you arrive at the park entrance at 116 Orphanage Dr, Max Meadows, VA 24360.
