Car
From Greater Richmond, take I-64 W towards Charlottesville. Continue on I-64 W for approximately 70 miles. Take exit 118 for US-29 N toward Charlottesville. Merge onto US-29 N and continue for about 5 miles. Take the exit toward Monticello and then follow signs for Monticello Loop. The destination will be on your left at 1050 Monticello Loop, Charlottesville, VA 22902. Note that parking is available on-site, but there may be a parking fee.

Public Transportation
First, take a Greyhound or Megabus from a bus station in Richmond to the Charlottesville bus station. The journey takes about 2 hours. From the Charlottesville bus station, you can take the Charlottesville Area Transit (CAT) bus route 1 (Red Line) towards Monticello. After about 20 minutes, get off at the Monticello stop. Monticello is just a short walk from the bus stop at 1050 Monticello Loop, Charlottesville, VA 22902. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance for departure times.
