From downtown Newport News, walk to the nearest bus stop on 25th Street. Take the Hampton Roads Transit bus route 102 towards Norfolk. Get off at the stop near Plum Point Park, which is located at the intersection of 21st Street and East Ocean View Avenue. The park entrance will be a short walk from the bus stop.
Bicycle

If you prefer to ride a bicycle, you can rent one at a local bike rental shop in Newport News. Start at the Virginia War Museum and head south on 25th Street.
