Bus
From the downtown area of Harrisonburg, head to the nearest bus stop on South Main Street. Board the bus heading towards the city of Charlottesville. Inform the driver that you would like to get off at the stop nearest to Syria, VA. Once you arrive in Syria, follow the local signs towards Rapidan Camp, which is located approximately 1.5 miles from the bus stop. You can ask locals for directions if needed.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Harrisonburg. Start your journey heading west on East Market Street (Route 33). Continue riding on Route 33 for approximately 15 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 29. From there, turn left onto Route 29 South and ride for about 5 miles. You'll see signs for Syria, VA. Continue following the signs until you reach Rapidan Camp.

If you are up for a long hike, you can start from downtown Harrisonburg. Head west on East Market Street, then take Route 33 out of town. It is approximately a 20-mile walk to Syria, VA, so ensure you are well-prepared with water and snacks. Along the way, you can enjoy the scenic views of the Shenandoah Valley. Once you reach Syria, follow the signs leading to Rapidan Camp.
