Bus
From downtown Harrisonburg, walk to the nearest bus stop located at the intersection of S Main St and E Grace St. Take the JMU Bus Line 1 towards the JMU campus. You will ride for approximately 20 minutes. Get off at the bus stop at the intersection of US-33 and US-11. From there, follow US-33 East for about 1 mile until you reach the entrance to the Rose River Lp Trl area. The trailhead is located just off of the main road.

If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the local shops in Harrisonburg. Start from downtown and head north on N Main St. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with US-33. Turn left onto US-33 East and bike for about 1.5 miles. Look for the trailhead for Rose River Lp Trl on your right side. The bike ride should take around 15-20 minutes depending on your speed.

Walking
For those who enjoy walking, start from downtown Harrisonburg and head east on E Water St. Continue until you reach N Main St and turn left. Walk north until you reach US-33. Cross the intersection and continue walking on US-33 East for approximately 1.5 miles. The Rose River Lp Trl entrance will be on your right. This walk should take around 30-40 minutes.
