Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car within the Historic Triangle, get on Virginia Route 31 (the Jamestown Road) heading towards Jamestown. From Williamsburg, take the Route 60 West towards the Colonial Parkway. Continue on the Colonial Parkway until you reach the exit for Jamestown. Follow the signs for Historic Jamestowne, which is located at 1368 Colonial National Historical Parkway, Jamestown, VA 23081. There is a parking fee of $10 per vehicle, valid for up to three days.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, take the Williamsburg Area Transport (WAT) bus to the nearest stop towards Jamestown. The WAT Route 1 bus travels between Williamsburg and Jamestown. You will need to check the current schedule as it may vary. Once you arrive at the Jamestown stop, it is about a 1 mile walk to Historic Jamestowne. Follow the signs towards the Visitor Center at 1368 Colonial National Historical Parkway. Note that there may be a small fare for the bus, typically around $1.00.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer to cycle, the Colonial Parkway offers a scenic route for cyclists. From Williamsburg, you can bike along the Colonial Parkway directly to Historic Jamestowne. Be cautious of traffic and ensure you have a map or GPS device to navigate, as some areas may not be well marked. It's roughly a 15-mile ride, so plan accordingly. There is no additional cost for biking, but be sure to bring water and snacks for your ride.
