From Luray Caverns, head south on US-211 W for approximately 1.5 miles. Continue straight when the road merges onto VA-342 S for about 1 mile. Then, turn left onto Skyline Drive. Follow Skyline Drive for about 5 miles until you reach Buck Hollow Overlook, located on your right. Be sure to look for signs indicating the overlook.

While there is no direct public transportation to Buck Hollow Overlook, you can take a local bus service to Luray. From the bus stop in Luray, you will need to use a taxi or a rideshare service (like Uber or Lyft) to reach Buck Hollow Overlook. The taxi ride is approximately 10-15 minutes and will cost around $15 to $25 depending on traffic and the service used.

If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike in Luray and head south on US-211 W. After about 1.5 miles, you will turn left onto Skyline Drive. Walking from Luray Caverns to Buck Hollow Overlook is not recommended due to the distance and lack of sidewalks along US-211. If you must walk, take US-211 S for about 1.5 miles before turning onto Skyline Drive. However, it will be a long walk (approximately 2 hours) and may not be safe due to traffic.
