Getting There

• Car

  If you're starting from the town of Gloucester Courthouse, head southeast on Main Street toward Route 17 Business. Merge onto Route 17 South and follow the signs toward Yorktown. After approximately 15 miles, take the exit for Route 105 toward Yorktown. Continue on Route 105, which will lead you directly into Yorktown. Once in Yorktown, follow signs for the Surrender Field, which is located at 37.2084011, -76.5053263. The field is easily accessible and has parking available.

  If you are using public transportation, start by taking a bus from your location in Middle Peninsula to Williamsburg. From Williamsburg, catch the bus service to Yorktown. The local bus service operates under the Williamsburg Area Transit Authority (WATA). Once you arrive in Yorktown, you can use a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft to get to Surrender Field, or you can walk if you prefer, as it is about a 1-mile walk from the bus stop to the site.
