Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from the Tysons Corner area, take I-495 S toward Richmond. Merge onto I-395 S and take exit 8A for Washington Blvd toward Arlington. Continue on Washington Blvd, then take the exit toward Columbia Pike. Merge onto Columbia Pike and follow it until you see the signs for the Air Force Memorial. Turn left onto Air Force Memorial Drive, and you'll find the memorial on your right.

• Public Transportation

  To reach the Air Force Memorial via public transport, you can take the Metro. Start by finding your way to the nearest Metro station (like Rosslyn or Pentagon City). From there, take the Blue Line toward Franconia-Springfield. Get off at the Pentagon Station. After exiting, transfer to the Metrobus route 16E or 16G at the Pentagon, heading toward Columbia Pike. Get off at the stop for Air Force Memorial Drive, and the memorial will be a short walk from there.

• Car

  If you're coming from Washington, D.C., take I-395 N and stay in the right lanes to merge onto I-66 W toward Rosslyn. Take the exit toward US-50 W and merge onto Arlington Blvd. After a few miles, take a right onto Washington Blvd, and then follow the signs to Columbia Pike. Turn left onto Air Force Memorial Drive, and you'll see the memorial ahead.

• Public Transportation

  If you're using the Metro system from the National Mall, take the Orange or Blue Line from the Smithsonian Station. Transfer at L'Enfant Plaza to the Yellow Line toward Huntington. Get off at Pentagon Station, then catch the Metrobus 16E or 16G toward Columbia Pike, disembarking at the Air Force Memorial Drive stop, which is just a short walk to the memorial.
