    From the Petersburg area, head to the nearest bus stop and catch the GRTC bus route 1 towards Mechanicsville. Make sure to confirm with the driver that the bus will stop near Anderson-Wright Drive. After approximately 30 minutes, disembark at the stop closest to Anderson-Wright Drive. From there, walk approximately 10 minutes southwest on Anderson-Wright Drive until you reach the Cold Harbor Battlefield Visitor Center at 5515 Anderson-Wright Dr.

    If you're feeling active, rent a bicycle from a local rental shop in Petersburg. Head northeast towards the intersection of E Washington St and S Sycamore St, then take a left onto S Sycamore St. Continue on this road until you reach US-301. Follow US-301 north towards Mechanicsville. Once you reach Anderson-Wright Drive, turn right and continue until you arrive at the Cold Harbor Battlefield Visitor Center.

    If you prefer to walk, start from the center of Petersburg at the intersection of E Washington St and S Sycamore St. Head north on S Sycamore St until you reach the intersection with E Bank St, then turn left. Continue straight until you reach US-301. Cross the road and continue walking north on US-301. When you reach the intersection with Anderson-Wright Drive, turn right and walk straight for about 1 mile until you arrive at the Cold Harbor Battlefield Visitor Center.
