From downtown Charlottesville, head to the nearest bus stop for the Charlottesville Area Transit (CAT) system. You can take the Route 3 bus towards the Pantops area. Get off at the stop at 'Berkmar Dr & Rio Rd' after approximately 15 minutes. From there, transfer to the Route 29 North bus. Ride for about 30 minutes and get off at the stop 'Stony Point Rd & 29'. Walk about 10 minutes down Stony Point Rd to reach Chestnut Oak Vineyard at 5050 Stony Point Rd.

If you prefer biking, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local bike rental shops in downtown Charlottesville. Start by heading north on 4th Street NE, then take a right onto East Market Street. Follow Market Street until it turns into Route 29 North. Continue on Route 29 for about 10 miles, following the bike lane where available. When you reach Stony Point Rd, turn right and ride about 1 mile to reach Chestnut Oak Vineyard.
