Getting There

• Car

  If you're traveling by car from Piedmont, start by getting onto US-29 N from Main St. Follow US-29 N for about 13 miles. Then take the exit for US-211 W towards Luray. Continue on US-211 W for approximately 15 miles until you reach US-11. Turn left onto US-11 S. After about 3 miles, you'll see the Rockingham County Turkey Statue on your right. There is available parking along the roadside.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, check the local bus routes that connect Piedmont to Timberville. You may need to take a bus to Harrisonburg first, and then transfer to another bus heading to Timberville. Once you arrive in Timberville, you can walk to the Rockingham County Turkey Statue, which is located along US-11. It's about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop. Be sure to check the bus schedules in advance for any fare costs and operating hours.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer to cycle, you can take a scenic route from Piedmont along the backroads. Start on Main St, heading towards US-29 N. Once you reach US-211 W, follow it until you connect to US-11 S. The total distance is approximately 10 miles, which should take around 45 minutes to an hour depending on your cycling speed. Be cautious as US-11 can be busy; wear a helmet and have reflective gear for safety.

• Walking

  Walking to the Rockingham County Turkey Statue is not practical due to the distance from Piedmont, which is about 10 miles away. However, if you're already in Timberville, you can easily walk to the statue from the bus stop along US-11. Make sure to stay on the sidewalks and adhere to pedestrian rules, as some areas may not have designated walking paths.
