Head south on S Jefferson St toward W Campbell Ave. Continue on US-11 S/N Jefferson St for about 1.5 miles until you reach the intersection with US-220 S. Merge onto US-220 S and continue for approximately 2 miles. Look for signs for the Blue Ridge Parkway. Take the exit for the Blue Ridge Parkway and merge onto it. Drive along the Parkway until you reach Milepost 120.3. Turn left onto Roanoke Mountain Rd, and follow it up to the Roanoke Mountain Overlook. The overlook will be on your right, and ample parking is available.

    While Roanoke Valley does not have direct public transportation to the Roanoke Mountain Overlook, you can take the Roanoke Valley Metro Bus Service. Board the bus that goes to the downtown area and then transfer to a taxi or rideshare service (like Uber or Lyft) to reach the overlook. Provide the driver with the address: Roanoke Mountain Rd, Roanoke, VA 24014. Expect to pay around $10-$20 for a taxi or rideshare service depending on traffic and time of day.
