Walking
If you are starting from downtown Roanoke, head east on Campbell Avenue SW. Walk for about 0.5 miles until you reach 4th Street SW. Turn left onto 4th Street SW and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Jefferson Street SW. Turn right onto Jefferson Street SW and continue for about 0.3 miles until you see the Mill Mountain Greenway entrance on your left. Follow the Greenway trail, which will lead you towards Mill Mountain Park. The trail is well-marked and will take you directly to the park entrance.

Biking
For those with bicycles, start from downtown Roanoke and head towards the Mill Mountain Greenway. You can enter the Greenway from Campbell Avenue SW. Once on the Greenway, follow the path that leads up to Mill Mountain. The trail is mostly paved and offers a scenic route. The ride is approximately 1.5 miles and will take you directly to Mill Mountain Park where you can easily access various trails and viewpoints.

To reach Mill Mountain Park using public transit, board the Valley Metro bus at the nearest stop. You can catch the bus from downtown Roanoke at the main transit center. Take bus route 10 towards the Mill Mountain area. Ask the driver to notify you when you reach the Mill Mountain Park stop. From the bus stop, walk about 0.2 miles up Mill Mountain Spur to the park entrance.
