Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving along Skyline Drive, look for the Bearfence Viewpoint Trailhead located approximately at mile marker 56.5. If you're coming from the northern entrance of Skyline Drive (Front Royal), travel south until you reach mile marker 56.5, where you'll find the trailhead on your right. There is a small parking area available, but note that parking can fill up quickly, especially on weekends. If you are approaching from the south (Waynesboro), drive north until you reach the same mile marker. Ensure that you have a valid entrance fee for Shenandoah National Park, which costs $30 per vehicle for a week-long pass.
