If you are driving along Skyline Drive, the Dark Hollow Falls Trailhead is located at mile marker 50.5. From the north, head south on Skyline Drive. Look for the trailhead parking area on your right, just past the mile marker. There is no fee required to park at this trailhead. If you are coming from the south, drive north and keep an eye out for mile marker 50.5 on your left. The parking area can fill up quickly during peak hours, so try to arrive early in the day.
Public Transportation
While there is no direct public transportation service to the Dark Hollow Falls Trailhead, you can take a local bus to the nearest town, Stanley, VA. From there, you would need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you to the trailhead. The nearest bus station is in Luray, VA, approximately 15 miles away. Note that this option might incur additional costs for the taxi or rideshare.
Bicycle
