Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving along Skyline Drive, ensure you are on the correct section of the road. The Dickey Ridge Visitor Center is located at 17065 Skyline Drive, Front Royal, VA 22630. From any point on Skyline Drive, simply continue to follow the road. Look for mile marker 4.6, as the Visitor Center is situated just off this marker. You will see signs directing you to the Visitor Center. There is no entrance fee for the Visitor Center itself, but you will need to pay the entrance fee for Shenandoah National Park, which is $30 per vehicle for a 7-day pass.

  • Public Transportation

    Public transportation options to Skyline Drive are limited. The nearest major transit hub is in Front Royal, Virginia. From Front Royal, you may need to use a rideshare service or taxi to reach Skyline Drive, as there are no direct public buses that go to Dickey Ridge Visitor Center. Once you arrive at the entrance of Skyline Drive, follow the directions as mentioned above for car travel to reach the Visitor Center.
