Bus
From Suffolk, head to the nearest bus stop and take the HRT bus route 960 towards Norfolk. Make sure to get on the bus that is heading to the Norfolk Transit Center. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Norfolk Transit Center, transfer to the HRT bus route 15 towards Ocean View and disembark at the stop at Plume St & Main St. From there, walk east on E Plume St for about 5 minutes until you reach The Slover at 235 E Plume St.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local bike-sharing services in Suffolk. Begin by cycling towards the Nansemond River, then follow the city bike paths that lead towards Norfolk. Continue on the bike path until you reach the Elizabeth River Trail. Follow the trail until you reach the intersection with E Plume St. Turn right and cycle for another 10 minutes until you arrive at The Slover located at 235 E Plume St.

If you prefer walking and are starting from downtown Suffolk, head south towards Main St. Follow Main St until it turns into E Washington St. Continue on E Washington St until you reach the intersection with S 6th St. Turn left onto S 6th St and continue straight until you reach E Plume St. Turn right onto E Plume St, and The Slover will be on your left at 235 E Plume St. Expect a walking time of around 1 hour and 15 minutes.
