Once you cross the bridge onto Chincoteague Island, continue straight onto Hallie Whealton Smith Dr. The Island Nature Trail will be on your left. There is a small parking lot available for visitors. Note that there may be a parking fee, so ensure you have cash or your credit card handy.

If you are using public transportation, take the local bus from Assateague Island to Chincoteague. The bus will drop you off near the center of Chincoteague.
