Once you reach Corolla, you will need to take a taxi or rideshare service to Carova Beach, as public transportation does not reach the beach directly.

If you enjoy cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the many rental shops in Virginia Beach. Start your ride heading north on the boardwalk. Follow the signs towards the Outer Banks and continue cycling along the scenic roads. The ride is about 20 miles, so be prepared for a longer journey. You can take the Virginia Dare Trail to the northern part of the beach and then follow local roads towards Carova Beach. Be sure to have a map or GPS as the routes can be less marked.

Walking to Carova Beach from Virginia Beach is quite a trek, approximately 25 miles north. If you're up for the challenge, start at the Virginia Beach Boardwalk. Walk north along the coastline until you reach the end of the boardwalk, then continue along the beach path. Follow the beach until you reach the Currituck County line. At this point, you will have to navigate through local roads that lead into Carova Beach. This is a lengthy walk, so ensure you are prepared with water and snacks.
