Car

From Seattle, WA, take I-5 South towards Tacoma. Merge onto I-705 S and then onto US-512 E towards Puyallup. Continue on SR-7 S to SR-706 E. Follow SR-706 until you reach the Mount Rainier National Park entrance. There is an entry fee of $30 per vehicle (valid for 7 days). Once inside the park, follow signs to the Sunrise area, where the Mount Fremont Lookout Trailhead is located.

Public Transportation + Car

If you are taking public transportation, start by taking an Amtrak train or Greyhound bus to Tacoma, WA. From Tacoma, you can take a local bus (Pierce Transit Route 400) to the Puyallup station. Follow the same directions as above from SR-706 E once you have your rental car.
