Bus
To reach Fay Bainbridge Park from downtown Bellevue, start by walking to the Bellevue Transit Center located at 1100 110th Ave NE. Take the Sound Transit bus route 542 towards Kingston Ferry Terminal. Make sure to check the schedule for the bus frequency. After approximately 35 minutes, disembark at the Kingston Ferry Terminal stop. From there, purchase a ferry ticket to Bainbridge Island. The ferry ride takes around 35 minutes. Once you arrive at Bainbridge Island, head to the bus stop outside the ferry terminal and board the Kitsap Transit bus route 90 towards Bainbridge Island. After a 20-minute ride, get off at the stop nearest to Fay Bainbridge Park, then walk approximately 10 minutes to the park entrance located at 15446 Sunrise Drive NE.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Bellevue. From downtown Bellevue, head towards the Eastside Rail Corridor Trail, which you can access near the Bellevue Botanical Garden. Follow the trail north until you reach the ferry terminal at Kingston. Take the ferry to Bainbridge Island. Once on the island, continue cycling along the scenic routes and follow the directions to Fay Bainbridge Park, which is about 5 miles from the ferry terminal. Make sure to check for bike parking once you arrive at the park.
Walking
Walking directly to Fay Bainbridge Park is not practical due to the distance from Bellevue, but you can take a combination of walking and public transport. First, walk to the Bellevue Transit Center. From there, follow the bus instructions to take route 542 to Kingston Ferry Terminal, and then take the ferry to Bainbridge Island. Once you arrive, you can walk to the park from the ferry terminal, which is about a 3-mile walk along scenic paths. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and enjoy the beautiful views along the way.
