Bus
To reach the Bald Eagle Interpretive Center from downtown Bellingham, take the Whatcom Transportation Authority (WTA) Bus Route 70 towards Mount Vernon. Board the bus at the Bay Street Terminal. Stay on the bus for approximately 45 minutes and get off at the stop for the Rockport Park Rd at Rockport. From there, walk approximately 0.5 miles down Rockport Park Rd to reach the center.
Bike
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local shops in Bellingham. Head north on the Northshore Trail towards Lake Whatcom. After reaching the end of the trail, follow the signs to State Route 20. Continue along State Route 20 for about 30 miles, enjoying the scenic views. When you reach Rockport Park Rd, turn left and bike down for 0.5 miles to the Bald Eagle Interpretive Center.
Walking from Rockport
If you are staying in Rockport or nearby, start from the Rockport General Store. Walk west on State Route 20 for about 0.2 miles and then turn onto Rockport Park Rd. Continue walking down Rockport Park Rd for about 0.5 miles until you reach the Bald Eagle Interpretive Center.
