Car
If you are driving to Ruthton County Park, start on I-84 E from any location in Columbia River Gorge. Continue on I-84 E for approximately 15 miles until you reach Exit 64 for Hood River. Merge onto OR-35 N and follow signs for Hood River. After about 1.5 miles, turn left onto Westcliff Drive. The park entrance will be on your right. There is no entry fee for the park, making it an excellent spot for a budget-friendly visit.

For those using public transportation, start by taking the Columbia Area Transit (CAT) bus from your location in the Gorge to Hood River. Check the CAT schedule for the latest routes and times. Once you arrive in Hood River, you may need to walk approximately 1 mile to Westcliff Drive. Follow Oak Street north until you reach Westcliff Drive, then turn right. Walk along Westcliff Drive for about 15 minutes until you reach Ruthton County Park. Be sure to check bus schedules for return trips.
