Car
From the main entrance of Deception Pass State Park, drive east on SR 20 towards Sedro-Woolley. Continue on SR 20 for approximately 12 miles, then turn left onto FS Road 13. Follow FS Road 13 for about 7 miles until you reach the trailhead for Park Butte Lookout. There are no fees for parking in the lot, but be aware that a Discover Pass is required for parking within the state park.

Take a bus from Anacortes or Oak Harbor to Sedro-Woolley. Once in Sedro-Woolley, you will need to arrange for a taxi or a rideshare service to FS Road 13. Please note that public transportation options to FS Road 13 may be limited, and it is best to check the local transit schedules in advance. After being dropped off, follow FS Road 13 for about 7 miles to reach the Park Butte Lookout trailhead.

Once you reach the Park Butte Lookout trailhead, you will need to hike approximately 2.5 miles to the lookout.
