The Iconic Hood Canal Floating Bridge: A Scenic Marvel

Getting There

• Bus

  To reach the Hood Canal Floating Bridge from downtown Everett, start by heading to the Everett Transit Station located at 3201 Smith Ave. Take Bus Route 70 towards Lynnwood. Ride for about 30 minutes until you reach the stop at 164th St SW & 44th Ave W. From there, transfer to Bus Route 510 towards Kingston. Stay on this bus for roughly 40 minutes until you arrive at the Poulsbo Park & Ride. Once you disembark, it’s a short walk to the Hood Canal Floating Bridge, heading southwest on NE Lincoln Rd until you reach the waterfront.

• Train and Bus

  From Everett, walk to the Everett Station and board the Sounder Train heading towards Seattle. After a scenic ride of about 30 minutes, get off at Seattle's King Street Station. From there, walk to the bus terminal and take the Kitsap Transit Bus Route 90 to Poulsbo. The bus ride will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive in Poulsbo, it is a short walk to the Hood Canal Floating Bridge, located nearby. Head southeast on NE Hostmark St and then west on NE Lincoln Rd to reach the bridge.

• Bicycle

  If you're feeling adventurous, you can bike to the Hood Canal Floating Bridge. Start at the Everett waterfront and take the scenic route along the water. Follow the Interurban Trail south through Mukilteo. Continue on the trail towards Lynnwood and then connect to the Kitsap Peninsula via the ferry from Edmonds to Kingston. Upon arriving in Kingston, bike along WA-104 to Poulsbo. The bridge is located a short distance from downtown Poulsbo. Make sure to bring a map or GPS to navigate the trails and roads safely.
