Walking
If you are in downtown Everett, start at the Everett Station. Head east on Smith Avenue toward Pacific Avenue. Continue straight onto 34th Street. Turn left onto Colby Avenue and walk north for about 0.8 miles. Once you reach 41st Street, turn right and continue until you reach the waterfront. The River Trail starts near the waterfront area, where you can enjoy scenic views of the river.
Public Transit (Bus)
From Everett Station, take Community Transit bus route 70 heading towards the Everett Waterfront. Stay on the bus for about 15-20 minutes, and get off at the 'Riverfront Park' stop. From there, walk south towards the water, and you will find the River Trail starting at the waterfront area.
Biking
If you have access to a bike, you can start at the Everett Station. Head east on Smith Avenue and take the bike lane along Pacific Avenue. Continue on the bike paths until you reach Colby Avenue, then turn left. Follow Colby Avenue north and connect to the bike path that leads to the waterfront. The River Trail is easily accessible from the waterfront.
