Bus
From Federal Way, head to the nearest bus stop that services the Sound Transit system. You can catch the ST 586 bus towards Seattle. Ride this bus until you reach the Tacoma Dome Station. From there, transfer to the Sound Transit bus ST 513. This bus will take you to the Bainbridge Island ferry terminal. Once you arrive at the ferry terminal, board the ferry to Bainbridge Island. After disembarking the ferry, head to the nearest bus stop and take the Kitsap Transit Route 90 bus towards the Bloedel Reserve. The bus will drop you off close to the entrance of Bloedel Reserve at 7571 NE Dolphin Dr, Bainbridge Island, WA 98110.
Walking and Ferry
If you prefer to walk, start at Federal Way Transit Center and walk to the nearby ferry terminal located at 801 Alaskan Way, Seattle. From there, take a ferry to Bainbridge Island. The ferry ride offers beautiful views of Puget Sound and the Seattle skyline. After arriving at Bainbridge Island, walk approximately 1.5 miles to Bloedel Reserve. You can follow signs towards the park, or use a map app on your phone for directions. The entrance is located at 7571 NE Dolphin Dr.
Bicycle and Ferry
For those who enjoy cycling, you can rent a bike in Federal Way and ride towards the Seattle ferry terminal. Once you reach the terminal, you can take your bicycle on the ferry to Bainbridge Island. After reaching Bainbridge, follow the road signs to Bloedel Reserve, which is about a 3-mile ride from the ferry terminal. The route is scenic and mostly flat, making it a pleasant bike ride.
