Getting There

  • Public Transit

    From downtown Federal Way, head to the Federal Way Transit Center located at 31700 20th Ave S. Take the Sound Transit bus route 586 towards Vashon Island. The bus will take you towards the Point Defiance area. Alight at the Vashon Island ferry terminal. From there, you can board the ferry to Vashon Island. Once you arrive at Vashon Island, exit the ferry and walk towards the bus stop where you can catch King County Metro bus route 118. Ride the bus until you reach the Point Robinson Lighthouse stop. From there, it’s a short walk to Oscar - The Bird King at 3705 SW Point Robinson Rd, Vashon, WA 98070.

    If you prefer to bike, start from downtown Federal Way and head towards the Des Moines Creek Trail. Follow the trail south, which will lead you to the waterfront. Once you reach the Des Moines Marina, continue on the waterfront path until you reach Redondo Beach. From there, follow the road signs directing you towards the Vashon Island ferry terminal. Take the ferry to Vashon Island and then bike to Point Robinson Lighthouse. It’s approximately a 5-mile ride from the ferry terminal to Oscar - The Bird King at 3705 SW Point Robinson Rd.
