  • Public Transit - Bus

    From Federal Way Transit Center, take Sound Transit bus route 586 towards Seattle. Ride for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the 7th Ave & Pine St stop in downtown Seattle. From there, transfer to bus route 2 towards Madrona. After about 15 minutes, get off at the stop for 10th Ave & E Union St. Walk north on 10th Ave for about 3 blocks, then turn left onto E Belmont Ave and proceed for another block until you reach Ward House located at 107 Belmont Ave E.

    If you're near the Federal Way Community Center, head east on S 320th St towards Pacific Hwy S. Continue walking until you reach the Federal Way Transit Center. From there, take the bus as described above. Alternatively, if you're close to the Dash Point State Park, it's best to take public transport or rideshare, as walking to Ward House from the park would take over an hour.

    If you are cycling, you can take the Interurban Trail from Federal Way heading north. Follow the trail towards Seattle which takes you along a scenic route. You will eventually merge onto local streets.
