Bus
From Kent, head to the Kent Transit Center located at 417 Ramsay Way. Take the Sound Transit Route 586 heading towards North Bend. Stay on the bus for about 35-40 minutes until you reach the North Bend Park & Ride. From there, transfer to King County Metro Route 208 towards North Bend. After approximately 10 minutes, get off at the stop near SE Lake Dorothy Rd. Walk north on SE Lake Dorothy Rd for about 0.5 miles until you reach the Mailbox Peak Trailhead.
Train and Bus
Start at the Kent Station (train station) located at 303 W Harrison St. Take the Sounder Train towards Seattle. Get off at the Issaquah station after about 30 minutes. From there, catch the King County Metro Route 556 bus towards North Bend. After about 20 minutes, get off at the North Bend Park & Ride, and then transfer to Route 208 to reach the stop near SE Lake Dorothy Rd. Walk north on SE Lake Dorothy Rd for about 0.5 miles to reach the Mailbox Peak Trailhead.
Bicycle
If you prefer to cycle, rent a bike from a local shop in Kent. Head east on E Smith St towards 104th Ave SE and follow the path that leads to the Snoqualmie Valley Trail. Continue on the trail until you reach North Bend. From North Bend, follow SE North Bend Way to SE Lake Dorothy Rd. It’s about a 12-mile ride, so be prepared for a good workout!
Walking
For the adventurous, if you're already in North Bend, you can walk to the Mailbox Peak Trailhead. Head east on SE North Bend Way, then turn north onto SE Lake Dorothy Rd. Follow this road for about 1.5 miles until you reach the trailhead. Make sure to wear good walking shoes and bring water!
