From Kirkland, head to the nearest bus stop at 'Kirkland Transit Center' located at 10603 108th Ave NE, Kirkland, WA 98033. Take the Metro Bus Line 255 towards Seattle, which runs every 15-30 minutes. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes and get off at '3rd Ave & University St' stop.
