Bus
To reach the Fremont Troll from Kirkland, start by heading to the nearest bus stop. You can take the Metro Bus Route 255 from Kirkland Transit Center towards Seattle. Ride the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the 'University of Washington' station. Here, transfer to Route 44 heading towards Northgate. Ride this bus for about 15 minutes and get off at the 'Fremont' stop. From there, walk south on Fremont Ave N, then turn left onto N 36th St. The Fremont Troll will be just ahead, located under the Aurora Bridge.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Kirkland. Start by heading west on the Kirkland waterfront path towards the Houghton area. Continue to the West Bridge across Lake Washington, which will lead you to the Montlake area. Follow the bike lanes through the University District, then onto 45th St. Continue on 45th St until you reach Fremont Ave N. Turn right and ride until you reach N 36th St. Take a left onto N 36th, and you'll find the Fremont Troll directly under the Aurora Bridge.
Walking
For a walking adventure, you can start at the Kirkland waterfront park. Walk north along the waterfront path towards Houghton, then cross the pedestrian bridge to the Seattle side. From there, you can head towards the University of Washington campus, following campus paths to 45th St. Continue west along 45th St until you reach Fremont Ave N. Turn right on Fremont Ave N, and then left onto N 36th St. The Fremont Troll is located on your left, right under the Aurora Bridge.
