Bus
From Kirkland, head to the nearest bus stop and take the Metro Bus Route 255 heading towards Seattle. The bus will take you across the 520 Bridge. Get off at the 'University of Washington' stop. Once there, transfer to the Link Light Rail heading south towards Angle Lake. Disembark at the 'Pioneer Square' station. From the station, it's a short walk to Occidental Square: exit the station, head south on 1st Avenue, and turn left onto Washington Street. The square will be on your right.
Light Rail
Take the Metro Bus Route 542 from Kirkland to the 'Redmond Technology Center' Park and Ride. From there, catch the Sound Transit Link Light Rail towards Seattle. Get off at 'Pioneer Square' station. Once you exit the station, head south on 1st Avenue, then turn left onto Washington Street. Occidental Square will be just a short distance ahead on your right.
Walking
If you're staying in downtown Kirkland, you can enjoy a scenic walk to the Kirkland waterfront. Once you reach the waterfront, follow the shoreline trail south until you reach Houghton Beach Park. From there, continue south along the lake until you reach the bus stop at 108th Ave NE & NE 53rd St. Take the Metro Bus Route 255 to Seattle. Get off at the 'University of Washington' stop, transfer to the Link Light Rail towards Angle Lake, and disembark at 'Pioneer Square'. Walk south on 1st Avenue and turn left onto Washington Street to reach Occidental Square.
Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local bike rental shops in Kirkland. Head south on the Eastside Rail Corridor Trail towards Bellevue. In Bellevue, connect to the Lake Washington Loop Trail and continue south along the lake. You will eventually reach downtown Seattle. Once in Seattle, navigate towards Pioneer Square: follow 1st Avenue north until you reach Washington Street, then turn left. Occidental Square will be on your right.
