Getting There

Bus
From downtown Kirkland, head to the nearest bus stop on Central Way. Take the Metro Bus Route 255 towards Seattle. The bus will take you across the Kirkland-Crossing Bridge. After about 30 minutes, get off at the 'Bus Station - 3rd Ave & Pike St' stop in Seattle. From there, walk south on 3rd Ave toward Pike St. Turn left onto Pike St and walk until you reach Alaskan Way. Turn right onto Alaskan Way and walk about 0.3 miles. The Seattle Aquarium will be on your left at 1483 Alaskan Way Pier 59.

Light Rail
From Kirkland, take a bus to the nearest light rail station, such as the University of Washington Station. Once at the station, board the Link Light Rail heading towards Angle Lake. Ride for about 30 minutes until you reach the Pioneer Square Station. Exit the station and walk west on Yesler Way to Alaskan Way. Turn left on Alaskan Way and walk about 0.5 miles to the Seattle Aquarium at 1483 Alaskan Way Pier 59.

Bike
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike in Kirkland. Start at the Kirkland waterfront and take the Eastside Rail Corridor Trail towards Seattle. Follow the trail which will eventually lead you to the Burke-Gilman Trail. Continue on the trail until you reach the University Bridge. Cross the bridge and continue onto 10th Ave E. Turn left onto E John St, then right onto Alaskan Way. The Seattle Aquarium will be at 1483 Alaskan Way Pier 59.
