    Getting There

    Bus

    From downtown Kirkland, walk to the nearest bus stop on Kirkland Ave & 3rd St. Board the Sound Transit bus number 542 heading towards Seattle. The bus will take you directly to the Seattle Waterfront. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Seattle Waterfront stop, disembark and you will be right at the waterfront area.

    Walking

    If you prefer to walk, start at the Kirkland Marina Park located in the heart of Kirkland. Head south along the waterfront path, which will eventually lead you to the Kirkland Waterfront Park. Follow the path along Lake Washington until you reach the south end of the park, where you can catch a bus or shuttle to Seattle. However, walking from Kirkland to Seattle directly will take about 2-3 hours, so plan accordingly.

    Bike

    Rent a bike from any bike rental shop in Kirkland. Start your ride at the Kirkland Marina Park and take the scenic Eastside Rail Corridor Trail south towards Seattle. You will pass through beautiful parks and neighborhoods. Continue on the trail until you reach the Seattle Waterfront. The ride will take approximately 1-1.5 hours depending on your pace.

    Ferry

    From Kirkland, walk to the Kirkland City Dock and board the King County Water Taxi to Seattle. The ferry ride offers stunning views of Lake Washington and takes approximately 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive at the Seattle dock, you'll be just a short walk away from the Seattle Waterfront.
