Self Guided Driving Audio Tour of Mount Rainier National Park

Enjoyable and Worthwhile

We enjoyed listening to the narrator and the stories were interesting. We would do this type of tour again. However, we found it was not always easy to tell if we were looking at the right location . Some kind of ‘x marks the spot’ along the road would be helpful. Otherwise, it was pleasant, informative and worth the money. Easy to use, too.

Mount Rainier National Park Self-Guided Audio Tour

A very enjoyable self-guided tour of Mount Rainier National Park

We downloaded the Mount Rainier National Park Self guided Audio tour to a smart phone and went as a family. I was a bit unsure how this would work, but it worked very well! We paid $30.00 for entrance to the park with our SUV and 5 people. We chose our entrance to the tour out of the several options given on the app and the tour worked very well in spite of little to none phone service. We enjoyed the day immensely. The narration was excellent and informative as we drove. The suggested stops as we drove helped us not to miss important stops and to see a lot more of the park than we ever would have without the guide. The history stories between stops were also interesting and very informative. The cell phone was connected by Bluetooth to the audio of our car, so our whole family group was able to hear the narration well. We spent about 7 hours touring, but could have easily spent a lot more time. Our whole family group of 5 enjoyed the self guided tour immensely and would do it again! We highly recommend this self guided tour as a great way to tour to the Mount Rainier National Park!

Guided audio tour was great. We were able to stop and replay pieces as we needed. And the history was amazing. Would do this again!
