Car
If you're traveling by car, head to Rockport, WA. From Interstate 5, take exit 232 for US-2 E towards Stevens Pass. Continue on US-2 E for about 30 miles until you reach the junction with State Route 20. Turn left onto SR-20 W and follow it for approximately 22 miles until you reach Rockport. Keep an eye out for signs for Gorge Overlook Trail; the trailhead is located off of SR-20 near mile marker 99.
Public Transportation
To use public transportation, you can take a Greyhound or Amtrak bus to the nearest major city, which is Seattle. From Seattle, you will need to take a combination of buses to reach Rockport. Consider using Skagit Transit or Whatcom Transit to get to Rockport. Once in Rockport, you can either walk or use a taxi service to reach the Gorge Overlook Trail trailhead, which is about a 1-mile distance from the town center. Please check the latest schedules and routes as they may vary.
Hiking
Once you arrive at the Gorge Overlook Trailhead, you will find a small parking area (may require a Discover Pass—check signage for details). Begin your hike by following the clearly marked trail. The hike is approximately 1.5 miles round trip, leading you to stunning views of the gorge and surrounding landscape. Make sure to bring water, wear appropriate footwear, and enjoy the beautiful scenery!
