Ferry
To reach Sakai Park from Redmond, you will need to take a ferry. Start by making your way to the nearest ferry terminal, which is the Seattle Ferry Terminal. You can take a bus from Redmond to downtown Seattle. Board Metro Bus 542 from Redmond Transit Center to the Eastgate Park-and-Ride, then transfer to Metro Bus 556 to reach Seattle. From the Seattle Ferry Terminal, purchase a ticket to Bainbridge Island. Once you arrive at Bainbridge Island Ferry Terminal, walk towards the main road, and head north on Madison Ave N. Continue walking for about 0.5 miles, and you will find Sakai Park on your left.
Public Transit and Walk
If you prefer public transportation, start at the Redmond Transit Center. Take Metro Bus 542 towards Bellevue. At Bellevue Transit Center, transfer to Metro Bus 241 towards Bainbridge Island. This bus will take you directly to the Bainbridge Island area. Once you arrive, disembark at the nearest stop to Madison Ave N. From there, walk north on Madison Ave N for approximately 0.5 miles until you reach Sakai Park.
Bicycle
For those who enjoy cycling, you can rent a bike in Redmond. Start at the Redmond Central Connector and head west. Follow the bike paths leading to the Sammamish River Trail that will take you towards the ferry terminal. Once you reach the Seattle Ferry Terminal, park your bike in the designated area and board the ferry to Bainbridge Island. After disembarking, continue riding north on Madison Ave N for about 0.5 miles until you arrive at Sakai Park.
