If you're traveling by car from anywhere in the San Juan Islands, you will first need to take a ferry to the mainland. The most common route is from Friday Harbor to Anacortes. The ferry ride takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive in Anacortes, follow signs to Highway 20 and merge onto it heading east. Continue on Highway 20 until you reach Burlington. Take the exit for I-5 South towards Seattle. After approximately 7 miles, take exit 229 for George Hopper Rd towards Burlington. After exiting, turn left at the light onto George Hopper Rd. Continue straight until you reach Fashion Way, then turn right. The Children's Museum of Skagit County will be on your left at 432 Fashion Way, Burlington, WA 98233. Note that ferry fares vary, so check the Washington State Ferries website for current prices and schedules.
