Lions Club Roadside Park: A Scenic Oasis in Mount Vernon

Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, begin your journey from the center of Mount Vernon. Head east on E Montgomery St toward S 1st St. Continue straight onto Freeway Dr. Follow Freeway Dr for about 1.5 miles. You will see Lions Club Roadside Park on your right at 501 Freeway Dr, Mount Vernon, WA 98273. There is free parking available at the park.

  For those using public transport, take Skagit Transit bus route 300 or 400 from the Mount Vernon Transit Center. Get off at the Freeway Drive stop. From there, it's a short 5-minute walk to Lions Club Roadside Park. Head southeast on Freeway Dr for about 0.3 miles, and you will arrive at the park entrance. The bus fare is approximately $1.00.

• Bicycle

  If you're biking, you can follow the paved paths along the Skagit River. From downtown Mount Vernon, head east on E Montgomery St, then turn onto the bike path that runs parallel to the river. Follow the path for about 1.5 miles until you reach Lions Club Roadside Park. There are bike racks available at the park.
