    To reach Discovery Park from downtown Seattle, take the Metro Bus Route 29 from the bus stop on 3rd Ave & Pine St. Board the bus and travel approximately 25 minutes. Get off at the stop 'Discovery Park Entrance' on Government Way. From there, walk approximately 0.5 miles through the park entrance to reach the main areas of Discovery Park.

  • Walking

    If you are near the Ballard neighborhood, you can walk to Discovery Park. Start at Ballard Locks (located at 3015 NW 54th St), head south on 54th St towards 24th Ave NW. Turn left on 24th Ave NW and follow it until you reach the park entrance at 3801 Discovery Park Blvd. It's about a 1.5-mile walk, so plan for roughly 30 minutes.

  • Biking

    For those who prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in downtown Seattle or Ballard. Follow the Burke-Gilman Trail heading northwest until you reach 39th Ave NW. Turn right and continue to the park entrance at 3801 Discovery Park Blvd. This route is approximately 4 miles, taking about 20 minutes by bike.
